Each year in Minilakes, residents decorate golf carts, kids adorn their trikes and bikes with flags and streamers, some dress up in costume and the parade, usually 60-10 folks walking, riding, skating and roller blading their way around all of the streets in the park. Prizes are awarded for the best display (almost everyone wins something) Then, on to the sports field where members have wonderful games for kids to try their luck. Most games have been built by the members and kids love them, almost as much as the "Dunking Tank" which one of the most popular. Following the activities they all munched on Mini Lake hamburgs and hot dogs. The day finished off with eyes of all ages, turned to the sky where we watched one of the finest fireworks display many have witnessed in a long time. So many happy kids slept well that night.
